IPC Workmanship StandardsAt EDM, quality processes are built in to every phase of production. We believe that having consistent standards and skilled, trained operators result in a product that our customers can rely on. In the 30 years that we've been providing contract manufacturing and engineering services, we've developed quality systems and tools.
Our employees are trained to IPC-A-610 Class II (production) and Class III (high reliability) Workmanship Standards. Our operators undergo continual retraining to stay current with changes in the standard and ensure products function to your specifications. We have incorporated our training programs into our ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, allowing us to continually monitor and improve our processes.
In addition to our training, EDM’s engineering staff, Production Supervisors and Quality Inspectors perform first articles of manufacture to evaluate workmanship and verify functionality. Our production team meets weekly to evaluate the results of our manufacturing process, and continually strives to ensure the products conform to workmanship standards. We work with you to meet specialized standards or develop customer mandated quality levels. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction gives you a better product and helps you expand your market share and profitability.

We are very pleased with our partnership with EDM. We have used them for production orders and for prototyping of new product. Our build requirements and product lines make it very difficult to accurately schedule product builds. EDM has always managed to successfully pull in/push out schedules. In addition, EDM's Engineering Department has been extremely helpful in our prototype builds, helping us to correct and fine tune our BOM and also making recommendations for manufacturability to our engineering staff. We are very pleased with the responsiveness of EDM's staff. Senior Buyer Aviation |
